Creative Accents area rugs are manufactured out West, where the High Desert meets the Eastern Sierra beneath interminable blue skies. Here, the Hensler Family, together with a highly skilled team of craftsmen, have been at work for over three decades. We pride ourselves in manufacturing the old fashioned way, by hand, one rug at a time. Not only are we proud of our products, we still enjoy the process. All of our rugs are made individually from the finest materials available, just as they always have been. Ken Hensler, the company’s founder, began making shag area rugs on the family sewing machine in 1963. Four years later, in 1967, Ken Hensler’s original idea became the foundation for Creative Accents Incorporated. Today, three generations of the Hensler family are involved in bringing you fine hand crafted products. Even the fourth generation plays its part crawling, spilling and taking its first steps on Creative Accents area rugs to help test the durability and resilience of our latest designs. Because each Creative Accents area rug is manufactured individually, we maintain the highest custom capabilities. Products Creative Accents area rugs are always made in one solid piece; they are never glued or sewn together. Each of our rugs is constructed from your choice of 100% nylon yarn or 100% wool. Our wool is all certified wool of New Zealand. All of our nylon face yarn is stain treated for easy care and a longer life. It is soil and stain resistant, and, for the occasional stubborn stain, it is easy to clean. Custom At Creative Accents, we don’t believe that one size ever fits all. We believe that each person is a unique collaboration of quirks and idiosyncrasies. Our goal is to manufacture products that fit your quirks like a glove. Not only do we recognize that each of our customers is a unique individual with specific design needs, we also recognize that the highest function of an accessory is to act as the perfect compliment to your living space. As a result, flexibility is vital. Each of our area rugs is flexible enough to fit your life; down to the inch. Because our area rugs are never mass-produced on mechanized looms, we maintain the ability to manufacture anything you can imagine. Our rugs can be made any shape, any size, any color and with any design. Basically, if you can dream it, we can make it. We are more than happy to work with your individual design ideas, or, to alter our designs to fit your needs. As for the specifics, border widths can be customized at no extra charge and custom color dying is available for $95 per color, with no minimums.
